Make your own shipping boxes

Shipping box is a very common box in our daily life ,the box will protect the product inside of the box

Usually ,these box is made from FLUTE material .

1.Measured your product size :

get a ruler or something to measure the product size , this is very important to do a shipping box , we need control the size of the shipping box, to make sure this box could protect the product inside of the box .

Here is a example of the shipping box size : 17(length) x 9(width) x 5(heigth)cm

Notice : for fragile items, add more room space to the each measurements,in order to protect with the bubble wrap or other packing material .

2.Get the material :

You could get the material from the other product package , such the TV outer cartons , washing machine outer cartons ,refrigerator outer catons ,and so on .

Break the box down starting with opening the tabs on top and bottom of the box. Just unfold the tabs, or cut through the tape with the box cutter and then unfold the tabs. Lay the box down on its side and cut one of the corners from top to bottom so that you can unfold the cardboard once more to end up with a long, straight piece of cardboard.

This is very easy to make it by yourself, and then you will get a piece of flute material to make the shipping box .

3.The tool for making a shipping box:

To make a shipping box, we need prepare the a knife , double side tape, or single tape...

Such like this :

4.To make a die-cut of the material:

Put your product on the material, and mark some lines with a pen , and then cut it with the marked lines.

Notice : the outline should be bigger than the product size .

For example , the length :your product length is 200mm , so to make the shipping box,the length should be 220mm or 230mm . If that is a fragile product ,we need more room space to put the bubble wrap , to protect the product ,more safety .

5.For the top flaps , measure down from the top of the box and mark with a pencil .

Use a straightedge to make the entire length of the box.

That means we need to know the full length of the box, then we could do the shipping box more accurate .

6.For the bottom flaps , measure up from the bottom of the box and mark with a pencil .Use a straightedge to make the entire length of the box.

7.Begin at the top of the box and cut along the fold lines until you reach the line you just drew fro the top flaps.

Repeat this step for the bottom flaps.

8.Trim off excess cardboard at the end of the box to allow for the tab that will be used to hold the box together .

9.Use a metal edge to fold the box at the first fold mark.

Continut thi process until the box is folded at all fold marks.

10.Fold the box tab inward and use adhesive tape to secure to the inside of the box.

11.Fold in the bottom box flaps and use packing tape to secure the bottom of the box.

12.Place item to ship inside in the box, tape shut with packing tape.

Add address, contact person , tel ... You are ready to ship your products.
